Forbes has been tracking the salaries of funny folks around the world since 2006. Jerry Seinfeld has topped that list every year except one - 2016, when he was dethroned by Kevin Hart.
Seinfeld earned $57-point-5 million between his Netflix deal, his stand-up money, and Hulu paying him for the streaming rights to all nine seasons of “Seinfeld.” Kevin did well last year, too. He earned $57-million between his “Irresponsible Tour” and starring in the “Jumanji” remake.
Notably fallen from the list? Amy Schumer and Louis C.K. While Amy simply failed to make the $15-million cut-off, C.K's departure has everything to do with confirmed allegations of sexual misconduct. Clocking a $52-million in 2017, his stepping from the spotlight and cancelling a Netflix special made his wallet significantly lighter in 2018. Here’s a look at the whole list:
- Jerry Seinfeld, $57.5-million
- Kevin Hart, $57-million
- Dave Chappelle, $35-million
- Chris Rock, $30-million
- Ricky Gervais, $25-million
- Gabriel Iglesias, $20.5-million
- Terry Fator, $18-million
- Jim Gaffigan, $17.5-million
- Jeff Dunham, $16.5-million
- Sebastian Maniscalco, $15-million
