Disney to hold Day of Giving

Disney is making a million-dollar donation to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The company and its ABC television station in Houston announced Tuesday that the money will go the American Red Cross.

Also, Disney's ABC Television Group will host a "Day of Giving," across all its platforms to urge contributions to that humanitarian agency. It starts this morning on “Good Morning America.”

Disney Chairman and CEO Robert Iger said "thousands of people have lost everything" and must now begin putting their lives back together. The Mouse House isn’t done there. Every time an employee donates for Harvey relief, Disney will match it dollar for dollar through the Walt Disney Company Foundation.
