The Hottest Fitness Trends of the '80s

Fitness trends have changed a lot in the last 30 years. Do you remember the hottest fitness trends from the '80s:

Jane Fonda workout videos: She started an exercise revolution in the early '80s. This was the era of leotards and matching sweat bands and no one did it like Jane!

Racquetball: Pretty much every popular '80s movie contained a racquetball scene because it was so popular.

Jazzercise: Before Zoomba there was Jazzercise -- the original dance based workout routine.

Bowflex: In the mid '80s there were a lot of Bowflex gyms collecting dust in people's basements -- and some people still have these huge systems in nearly pristine condition!

Sweatin' to the Oldies: Richard Simmons became everyone's workout cheerleader when he came out with these workout videos in the late '80s.

Step Aerobics: Mixing aerobics with plastic, stackable steps.

Thigh Master: OK, it technically came out in 1990 -- but it's the perfect way to round out the trends of the '80s. Suzanne Somers made a fortune on the thigh squeezing contraption! (Women's Health)
