She Nailed It – Social and Competition 2018

The She Nailed It! Competition is the highlight event during National Women Build Week (NWBW), which is meant to spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by women. Hosting the event during this week reinforces the message that every woman can make a difference through learning and using construction skills. We at Habitat have the ability to provide opportunities for hands-on learning, and given these tools, women can succeed in changing their communities. The She Nailed It! Competition is a fast-paced nail-hammering relay race with four women on each team. It works by having each team member fully hammering a nail into a 2”x4” and then quickly passing the hammer to the next member on the relay team. The event is fast paced, fun, and all in support for affordable housing solutions.
