Performers for this year’s telecast include Kelly Clarkson, who’ll also host the show, with TaylorSwift and BrendonUrie opening the evening with a performance of Tay’s latest single “ME!” The night’s other performers include Madonna and Maluma, Jonas Brothers,BTS with Halsey, plus Halsey on her own, Khalid, Panic! at the Disco, Ciara, Dan + Shay, Lauren Daigle, Paula Abdul, and Ariana Grande, live from her tour stop in Vancouver, British Columbia.
In addition, Mariah Carey will be honored with the "Billboard" Icon Award, and will perform a medley of her songs.

- Cardi B leads this year’s nominees with 21 nods in 18 categories, including two nods for Hot 100 Song for “I Like It, with Bad Bunny & J. Balvin and Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” which she is featured on. She also nabbed nominations for both songs in the Top Selling Song and Top Collaboration categories. Also nominated in multiple categories are Post Malone and Drake, who both have 17, Travis Scott, who nabbed 12, and the late XXXTentacion, who is up for 10.
- The 2019 Billboard Music Awards, hosted by Clarkson, will air on NBC at 8 pm, live from the MGM Garden Arena.
