Nominees for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards have been revealed, with Lizzo leading this year’s pack, with eight nods, including Album of the Year for “Cuz I Love You (Deluxe),” Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Truth Hurts,” and Best New Artist.
Billie Eilish also received a boatload of nods, six to be exact, including nods for Album of the Year for "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?,” Record and Song of the Year for “Bad Guy” and “Best New Artist.” With her nods in the four major categories, the 17-year-old Eilish becomes the youngest artist in GRAMMY history to be nominated in the four major categories.
Other multiple nominees include Lil Nas X, who’s also nominated for six, and ArianaGrande who is up for five. Both are recognized in the Album of the Year category.
As for the big snubs this year:
- Taylor Swift is certainly one of them. While she received three nods, including Song of the Year for “Lover,” her hit album of the same name didn’t earn an Album of the Year nod this year, and she wasn’t recognized for Record of the Year either.
- Halsey was also left off the ballot this year, despite the success of “Without Me.”
- The reunited Jonas Brothers received just one nod, although many expected them to get more.
- BTS was also shut out of nominations despite having huge success this year.
