Cardi B Defends Herself On Twitter After Former Guard Files Assault Lawsuit

Cardi B is setting the record straight.

Shortly after TMZ reported that the "Writing On the Wall" rapper is being sued for allegedly assaulting, striking and spitting on a female security guard in February 2018, Cardi took to social media to respond to another outlet's tweet about the lawsuit.

"Why donโ€™t you guys post the part where the doctor office said that thatโ€™s not what happen ?" the "Press" rapper replied to the tweet. "and if I assaulted why she didnโ€™t press charges ? Why would I put my hands on some1 twice my size by myself while Iโ€™m experiencing sharp pain 4 months pregnant ?"

She added in a since-deleted tweet: "Then she suing me claiming I used racial slurs because people been trying to push that narrative on me for the part 2 years ...mind you this is the girl who suing me ..[Lighter than] me & look Latin American ..Give me a f**kin break !"

A fan then suggested that Cardi should wait to share her defense in court, saying a rant "isn't helping your case," which Cardi agreed, replying, "Itโ€™s not but she claiming that I was saying racial slurs to her because she is African American trying to imply I was being colorist mind you the nurse the staff that separated us said it was not true."

She later shared a screenshot of TMZ's initial article that included Cardi's defense, which she captioned, "I PRAY TO GOD THERES footage of wat happen dat day."
