IronPigs to host Character Cruise-Thru on Saturday, May 9
IronPigs Mascots, Movie Princesses and Superheroes will be on hand to greet guests
Allentown, Pennsylvania (1 May 2020) – The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will host a “Character Cruise-Thru” presented by Service Electric Cable Television and Provident Bank on Saturday, May 9 from 12-2 p.m. iHeartMedia will serve as a radio promoter of the event, which will take place in the parking lots at Coca-Cola Park. waeb-fm
The first-time ever event allows families to experience a fun activity all from the safe environment of their own vehicle. Vehicles will be guided through Coca-Cola Park’s parking lots in parade-style passing by characters along the tour. 100% of the proceeds from the event will go to IronPigs Charities, a non-profit 501c3 organization.
“This event will give our fans an opportunity to safely come to Coca-Cola Park, practice social distancing from the comfort of their own vehicles and simply have fun with their family,” said IronPigs President and General Manager Kurt Landes. “The costume characters will be spaced throughout the parking lots for our fans to see as they parade thru.”
There will be approximately 40 different characters representing movie princesses as well as all genres of superheroes. Fans will be able to wave to their characters while driving throughout the parking lots at Coca-Cola Park. IronPigs mascots will be in attendance as well.
Tickets are $10 per car and must be purchased online only prior to attending. A limited number of tickets (vehicles) are available for purchase. Walk-ups will not be permitted due to social distancing guidelines. Tickets are available for purchase here. Fans can purchase tickets for either the Noon-1 p.m. or 1-2 p.m. time period and can visit the Character Cruise-Thru at any point during their specified time window. Ticket holders must enter Coca-Cola Park’s parking lots via the American Parkway entrance only.
