So much drama surrounding “Sex and the City 3.” To recap, Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that the series was over, and Kristin Davis was upset about it. Word on the street was that Kim Cattrall was the holdup.
Now Kim is defending herself – and calling SJP out in the process. She says that she told everyone back in 2016 that she didn’t want to do a third installment of the franchise. During an appearance on Piers Morgan’s show, “Life Stories” on Monday night, the woman known as Samantha said, “At this very moment, it’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva.” As for SJP – or Carrie in “SATC” world – Kim said, “I really think she could have been nicer…I don’t know what her issue is.
Still, there seems to be no animosity. Cattrall said, “There is genuine affection and there has been over the years.” And she’s not opposed to the movie being made. She just doesn’t want to be a part of it. Her suggestion is for either another actress to play the part, or introduce another character altogether.
