$26 Million raised and counting

Jennifer Lopez, her beau Alex Rodriguez and ex Marc Anthony put together a huge telethon for Puerto Rico which took place the weekend.

According to NBC, which aired the last hour of the telethon, $26 million was raised during the “One Voice: Somos Live!” telecast, although the phone lines remained open for quite a while so that number is expected to rise.

The star-studded evening featured JLo performing "Let's Get Loud," and getting personal with the audience. “This disaster hits very close to home,” she said. “We will never forget those terrifying days where many of us could not find our friends and family, and hear their beautiful voices.”

The telethon also featured performances by Camila Cabello, Maroon 5, Ricky Martin, Bruno Mars, who sang "Just The Way You Are," in Spanish,  Gwen Stefani, Chris Martin, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder, who sang Bob Marley's "Every Little Thing's Gonna Be Alright,"  and Demi Lovato, who wowed everyone with a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Anthony ended the night with the song “Preciosa,” an tribute to his native Puerto Rico.

Funds raised from the telethon will benefit Feeding America, Save the Children, Habitat for Humanity, Unidos for Puerto Rico, United Way, Hispanic Federation’s UNIDOS Fund and UNICEF.
