For 2020, PBS A Capitol Fourth Is Coming With A Bang

For 2020, PBS A Capitol Fourth is coming with a bang. Hosted by John Stamos and Vanessa Williams with performances from Patti LaBelle, Andy Grammer, Lauren Alaina, John Fogerty, Brantley Gilbert & more!

While the continuing coronavirus pandemic has forced the cancellation of the in person event, the show goes on for PBS A Capitol Fourth. For its 40th year, A Capitol Fourth is coming with a bang as we celebrate America's 244th birthday. The annual special, PBS highest rated program each year, has an all star line up of A-list talent for this years program.

Hosting duties will be taken care of by returning favorite (& America's uncle) John Stamos along with long time A Capitol Fourth performer Vanessa Williams. Performers include the legendary Patti LaBelle, John Fogerty, Andy Grammer, Yolanda Adams, Trace Adkins, Lauren Alaina, The Temptations, Brantley Gilbert, Renee Fleming, Chrissy Metz, Kelli O'Hara, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Mandy Gonzalez. As always, Jack Everly will be conducting the National Symphony Orchestra.

Much like the incredible PBS National Memorial Day Concert 2020, the special will feature pre-taped performances from around the country, this time from iconic American locations. There will be a special tribute from John Stamos to first responders, doctors, nurses, grocery store workers, scientists and all of the essential personnel who have worked tirelessly to keep our system rolling through the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Capitol Fourth airs live on PBS Saturday July 4, 2020 from 8p to 9:30p EST. Additionally you can watch on A Capitol Fourth Facebook and PBS YouTube and for a limited time on demand.
