The Volunteer Fire Department in North Coventry Township, Pennsylvania, has cancelled their annual Easter Egg Hunt this year … and it’s all because of misbehaving parents. The rules of the hunt are pretty simple: No adults in the designated egg hunt area. Guess what happened in years past? Yep, parents decided they had to “help” their kids find eggs and went into the hunt area where they actually became a danger to other children.
After canceling the hunt, Deputy Chief Chuck Hipple explained on Facebook, “We know that the majority of our community is not the problem, but we can't risk injury to children because certain individuals can't control themselves. We are hoping to try again at some point!” (Newser)
