The search for the Ohio man accused of murdering his victim on Facebook is going national. At a news conference today, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson said a 50-thousand-dollar reward is being offered in the search for Steve Stephens.
As we told you before, the murder occurred in Cleveland, but as Police Chief Calvin Williams points out, Stephens could be "anywhere" and that the reach is now "all over the country."
In the video, Stephens claims to have murdered other people, but police are so far not aware of additional victims. At a press conference, Williams pleaded with Stephens to turn himself in to end the search peacefully. Police in Philadelphia had received unconfirmed sightings of Stephens at a city park after a sighting of the so-called "Facebook Killer." Stephens is considered armed and dangerous.
