Will & Grace say "What Finale?"

The creators of "Will & Grace" have decided to pretend like the finale never happened. That means that instead of Will Truman and Grace Adler each being married with kids, they'll be single, childless, and living together in their same apartment.

“We spent most of our time trying to figure out what would be the way to make the show the best version of itself coming back after 11 years,” executive producer/co-creator Max Mutchnick explains. “That finale really caused us a lot of grief. You write a finale because a show is over. You never think that it’s coming back again.”

Instead of risking Will and Grace being judged by their parenting skills, Mutchnick and co-creator David Kohan decided to forget the kids, and the spouses, entirely. We do know though that Harry Connick Jr., who played Grace's eventual husband and baby daddy Leo, will make an appearance. Jack and Karen will also back, with Jack living across the hall from Will and Grace and Karen enjoying her mansion.

"Will & Grace" will return to NBC on September 28th
