Taylor Swift has been vindicated

Taylor Swift has been vindicated. A jury in Denver ruled yesterday that DJ David Mueller did indeed sexually assault the singer by groping her during a photo op at a meet and greet at a 2015 concert. The jury also ruled that Swift's mother Andrea and radio liaison Frank Bell were not responsible for getting Mueller fired from his job, and they had the right to contact his station about what happened.

As for money, Swift received the symbolic $1 she was looking for, while Mueller, who was seeking as much as $3-million, got nothing.

Following the verdict, Taylor thanked the judge, her lawyers and the rest of the team, and vowed to help other sexual assault victims. "I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this. My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard," she said. "Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."
