Pink is set to be honored at this month’s MTV Video Music Awards. Pink will receive the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which in past years has gone to such artists as Beyoncé, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and more.
Pink will also perform on the telecast, which airs August 27th live from The Forum in Inglewood, California.
News of Pink's award seemed to tick off a few Christina Aguilera fans who thought she should have gotten the honor, with one posting a clip of their "Lady Marmalade" collaboration calling it Pink's "only relevant video," since she was "Xtina's backup singer." Well, that didn't sit well with Pink who responded on social media, questioning why we "can no longer be happy for one another," and adding, "The best part of music is there's room for everyone to win at the same time. Don't be what's wrong w/da world."
