So many artists are using this time while self-quarantined to work on new songs that we’ll get to hear in the coming months, but 21 Pilots might be giving us one of theirs in the coming days and the main reason to get it out so quickly is to help out the people who work in live music.
"I’ve met so many amazing people working venues and touring with bands. Hopefully we can do something to help some of them through a new song," frontman Tyler Joseph tweeted. "It’s the first song i ever wrote on electric guitar. It’s simple but hopeful. Give me a few days to finish it up," he added. "A good rule of thumb is to never give yourself a deadline so tweeting about it kind of just added pressure it’s not done yet, but this one feels like it should come out now."
Tyler also noted he emailed his bandmate Josh the files to add his flourishes so hopefully we’ll get to hear it sooner than later.
