George Clooney gave "The Boys" a mega gift

Rande Gerber, opened up about his friend, George Clooney's, generosity on a recent episode of MSNBC’s Headliners.

In September 2013, George called “The Boys” – his crew of 14 men – over to his house for dinner. When they got there, he had a black designer suitcase for each guest. According to Rande, “George begins to say, ‘Listen, I want you guys to know how much you’ve meant to me and how much you mean in my life. I came to L.A., I slept on your couch. I’m so fortunate in my life to have all of you and I couldn’t be where I am today without all of you. So, it was really important to me that while we’re still all here together, that I give back.” At that point, he asked his guests to open their bags. Inside, there was a million bucks in $20 dollar bills. The Oscar winner added, “Not only that, I have paid everyone’s taxes so this million dollars is yours.”

Since Rande is wealthy in his own right, he didn’t want to take the money. But George said that if he didn’t, no one would get it. Since there were guys in the group who were living paycheck-to-paycheck and really needed it, Randi relented – and donated his share to charity.
