Dr Oz to the rescue

Dr. Mehmet Oz was called to rescue a passenger on his flight who collapsed. In case you didn't know, Dr. Oz is actually a cardiothoracic surgeon. He was on the flight from New York to Las Vegas when a 30-year-old man collapsed during the flight. Dr. Oz leapt into action.

He "MacGyvered" an EKG test by using the electrode pads from the plane's Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The unnamed passenger was taken to the local emergency room upon landing - and as it happens, the man had the flu and a high fever, which is what caused him to collapse.

This isn't the first time Dr. Oz has tried to save a stranger. In 2013, he helped save a woman, who was struck by a taxi in New York City.
