Sending Demi a lot of love

Demi Lovato was apparently rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles yesterday, with a family source telling CNN she suffered a possible drug overdose. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a call came in for a medical emergency in the Laurel Canyon area just before Noon, and that a 25-year-old woman was taken to the hospital.

Demi's publicist has since released a statement, updating fans on her condition. “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," the statement reads. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

We'll keep you updated on Demi's condition and are thinking of her - sending her lots of love.

  • Demi was supposed to play a concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey tomorrow night, but Variety reports that the show's been canceled. She was also supposed to appear on last night's episode of “Beat Shazam," but Fox decided to replace the episode in light of the reports.
  • Demi recently dropped the song “Sober” last month admitting that she had fallen off the wagon after six years of sobriety. She didn’t detail the nature of her relapse, but sang, “I'm sorry that I'm here again. I promise I'll get help."
