Ray Price Auto Park Route 33 to host Red Cross blood drive, Ford ‘Drive 4 UR Community’ fundraising event Aug. 3 in Stroudsburg!
The Event is taking place on Sat Aug 3rd between 9am and 2pm at the Ray Price Auto Park Route 33 Ford Showroom, located at 6320 Route 209, Stroudsburg
The Pocono community is invited to help the American Red Cross recover from an emergency blood shortage by giving blood!
The blood drive will be held in conjunction with Ford’s “Drive 4 UR Community” event, during which the Ford Motor Company will donate $20 up to $6,000 to the Red Cross for every person who test drives a new Ford vehicle*. The funds will benefit Red Cross disaster relief efforts in the Pocono Mountains, which helps families prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters, both big and small.
The Ray Price Auto Park blood drive comes as the Red Cross faces an emergency need for blood donors to give now to help avoid delays in lifesaving medical care for patients this summer. Right now, blood products are being distributed to hospitals faster than donations are coming in. More donations are immediately needed to help replenish the blood supply.
In thanks, all those who come to donate blood or platelets July 29-Aug. 29 will receive a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card via email. (Restrictions apply; see amazon.com/gc-legal. More information and details are available at RedCrossBlood.org/Together.)
Blood donation appointments are strongly encouraged; walk-in donors will be accommodated as time/space allow. To schedule an appointment to donate blood, visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter sponsor code Ray Price or call 1-800-REDCROSS.
Appointments are not required to participate in Ford’s “Drive 4 UR Community” event. Blood donors who wish to participate in a test drive should do so before donating.
Drive 4 UR Community, designed to help raise much-needed funding for local community groups and nonprofit organizations, is very similar in concept to Ford’s successful Drive 4 UR School initiative. To date, Ford Dealerships across the United States have helped raise more than $40 million for local schools and nonprofits, thanks to their hard work and the Drive 4 UR School and Drive 4 UR Community programs.
