Bev Hills 90210 interview takes an awkward turn

We’ve been keeping you up to date on Tori Spelling’s financial woes. While the star and her husband Dean McDermott's ongoing legal battle over an allegedly unpaid loan may not be news to fans, that doesn’t mean Spelling wants to talk about it in every interview.

That’s how her appearance on Fox 5’s “Good Day New York” yesterday got pretty awkward. To be fair, Spelling’s financial situation is going to be a storyline in the upcoming “Beverly Hills, 90210” revival… but “Good Day New York” host Rosanna Scotto opened a can of worms by sticking to the subject, asking if Spelling is okay to pay her own bills lately.

Spelling clapped back with a “yeah, thank you,” to move things along, but it didn’t end there. After that, Scotto remarked that the new season of “90210” will put some money in Spelling’s “pocket.” Spelling and her co-star Jennie Garth just looked at each other, Garth calling the comment “interesting.”

  • During the “Good Day New York” aftershow on Facebook Live, Scotto admitted the interview got “definitely awkward.” She said she didn’t mean for it to get tense, she just wanted to give Spelling a chance to “dispel the rumors” in the press. In the end, Scotto claimed she apologized and said, “bottom line was maybe we know too much.”
