Please join us for the 2nd meeting of the Health & Wellness Community in Carbon County.
During our first meeting in August, we discussed so many issues facing the community. It became apparent that there is a need for improved information, accessibility of services and communication, among other things. The committee, once formed, will have a focus on creating a resource guide that is inclusive of services and program available throughout the county and across multi-platforms. The committee may also become involved in hosting educational and entertaining events, addressing public health issues, and spreading the word about health and wellness in Carbon County.
Volunteers who are interested in being part of a new wellness committee in Carbon County are being sought. The goal is to promote and support the wellness community, businesses and organizations by promoting health and wellness of members and their employees through education and initiatives. The committee will explore promoting healthy workplace programs that encourage healthy lifestyles for employees, both physically and mentally. They will assist businesses in creating and maintaining a culture of physical and mental health that can benefit employees, employers and the larger community.
