Men are more scared of bugs than women

James Corden may have just proved this new research to be true!

Research shows that only 22% of females say they’re “very scared” of bugs. Meanwhile, 32% of men say they’re “very scared” of the little critters.

Just because they’re afraid of them it doesn’t stop men from thinking they're bug experts. While less than half of women consider themselves "very knowledgeable" on insects, 59% of men say they’re basically entomologists. In reality, everyone overestimates their insect knowledge. According to the survey, only 35% of Americans even know basic stuff like honeybees and bumblebees are not the same thing.

  • Across all gender, 64% said they are scared of bugs and when asked why the majority cited bug bites and 44% were worried they find them in bed with them later.
