Lady Gaga has caused a little bit of Mayhem — or more like releasing Mayhem, because the pop star has announced that her new album, Mayhem, will be released on March 7th.
Mysterious billboards recently popped up in New York City and Las Vegas, featuring the album's cover, along with the title and release date, and immediately sent fans into a frenzy. The billboards followed the countdown on Gaga's official website that ended today, January 27, to officially unveil Mayhem and its release date.
Mayhem is Lady Gaga's long-awaited seventh album and first since 2020's Chromatica. According to the new record's pre-order, Mayhem showcases a whopping 15 new songs, including her previously-released single "Disease" and collaboration with Bruno Mars "Die With A Smile."
Lady G also shared a mysteriously spooky trailer to go along with the album announcement, featuring flashes of album art and more as some ominous music plays in the background.
Looks like Mother Monster is back:
In a previous interview with the LA Times, Lady Gaga shared of what to expect from her new album, "It leaps around genre in a way that's almost corrupt. And it ends with love. That's the answer to all the chaos in my life is that I find peace with love. Every song that I wrote, I just kept getting kind of swept away in these different dreams I was having about the past — almost like a recollection of all these bad decisions that I made in my life."
Gaga was also announced as this year's recipient of the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award, which she will be honored with at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17. She is also nominated for Best Collaboration for "Die With A Smile," as well as in several fan-voted categories, including Best Music Video and Best On Screen for Chromatica Ball. Fan voting has officially begun and will close on March 10 at 11:59pm PT for all categories. Fans can vote by visiting iHeartRadio.com/awards.
Fans will be able to find out all of the winners and more by tuning in to the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday, March 17 on FOX from 8:00-10:00pm ET live/PT tape-delayed. The show will also be broadcast on iHeartRadio stations nationwide and on the free iHeartRadio app.
