The Lehigh County Coroner's Office has officially stated both 39-year-old Sarah Rice and 42-year-old Greg Johnson died from gunshot wounds to the head in what's being called a murder-suicide. However, there is no official word yet on who shot whom and then took their own life. The coroner says that won't be announced until police and the Lehigh County DA's office wrap up their investigations. Both Johnson and Rice were found dead inside their home on 10th Avenue in Bethlehem last Friday.

Two people are dead after a crash on I-80 in Monroe County. Authorities say a truck veered off the eastbound lanes in Tunkhannock Township and hit a tree Monday morning. Both people inside the vehicle were killed. They have not been identified.

A woman is in the hospital with severe burns after a mobile home fire in Lehigh County on Monday. First responders were called to a home on the 8800 block of Breinig Run Circle in Upper Macungie Township early in the afternoon. Authorities have deemed the mobile home a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The youngest county executive in Pennsylvania history is now in place. Josh Siegel officially became Lehigh County executive Monday. The 32-year-old explains what his focus will be. "Working families are struggling right now and what they need are leaders who are willing to be bold, ambitious and audacious in accomplishing goals and objectives to make their lives easier," Siegel says. In Northampton County, the first woman county executive also took office Monday. Tara Zrinski was sworn in and says she's very proud of the accomplishment. "To me, this is one of the greatest honors, to be able to sit in this seat and give a voice for the people," Zrinski says. In her address, Zrinski said her administration will learn, build, heal and leave the county stronger than they found it.

A little over two years after it opened, a restaurant for burgers and milkshakes has closed. Via social media, Retro Burger has announced it has closed its restaurant on West Broad Street in Bethlehem. Retro Burger opened in November 2023.

A third person is dead following an explosion at a Bucks County nursing home last month. A 66-year-old woman has passed away from the injuries she sustained in the blast at the Bristol Health and Rehab Center. Authorities believe the December 23 explosion was caused by a natural gas leak, but the investigation is ongoing.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is sharing statistics on scams across the commonwealth for last year. Sunday says Pennsylvania residents lost 75-million dollars to schemers and fraudsters in 2025. State officials also received the most scam complaints in a single year. The AG is urging people, especially senior citizens, to ignore suspicious messages from unknown callers and emailers.

The Phillies are adding a proven veteran to their coaching staff. Don Mattingly will join manager Rob Thomson as a bench coach this season. He spent the last three years with the Blue Jays under John Schneider in the same role. Mattingly joins his son, Preston, who is Philly's general manager. The 64-year-old also has managerial experience between the Dodgers and Marlins dating back to 2011.
