An autopsy is planned tomorrow for the man found dead in the Lehigh River on Saturday. The man fled fled from police and jumped into the Lehigh River in Coplay on Thursday. He was pronounced dead just before 4:30 Saturday afternoon in the area of Canal Park in Northampton. The man, who has not yet been named by the coroner's office, had multiple warrants out on him and fled when the Lehigh County sheriff's office tried to arrest him at a home on Howertown Road in Northampton.

PPL's rate hike request is being lowered. The utility company has filed a petition for settlement with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission that would bring down the average residential customer's rate increase from about seven-percent to just under five-percent. It comes after public hearings on the rate hike late last year along with opposition from a number of elected officials. If the petition is approved, the rate increase would go into effect on or after July First.

Ski season is over at a local resort. Bear Creek closed up its season Saturday. Shawnee also called in a season on Sunday, however, Blue Mountain and Camelback remain open.

The U.S., Israel, and Iran continue to trade attacks across the Middle East. But Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Dave McCormick sees an end to the fighting coming soon. "We're probably closer to the end than the beginning of this military conflict. We still have some work to do, but the American military power and our allies in the region have been absolutely successful and now we just need to finish the job," McCormick says. The war has now begun its third week.

One month into the partial government shutdown, lawmakers have yet to reach beyond party lines and strike a deal with their colleagues across the aisle. Democrat Sen. John Fetterman detailed to Fox News why he is the only democrat splitting from party lines and voting with Republicans to reopen the government. "Why would you want to punish all of these workers under DHS? The only thing it could do is make us less safe and also make people go without getting paid," Fetterman says. The government shutdown has halted funding for several federal agencies un homeland security, including the Transportation Security Administration, the Coast Guard, and the Secret Service.

Beginning today, repair crews will become common sights across the Garden State as New Jersey begins repairing roads that have been damaged by the harsh winter. State transportation officials say they expect to repair more roads this year than last while most of the work will be concentrated on state highways, which fall under the state's jurisdiction. State crews are directed to try to avoid doing their work during peak travel times.

For the first time since 2012, Lehigh's men's basketball team is in the NCAA Tournament. Sunday evening, the Mountain Hawks found our they're playing fellow 16-seed Prairie View A&M Wednesday night in one of four First Four matchups. Lehigh junior Nasir Whitlock says he and his team will be ready for the Panthers. "It's been a lot of ups and downs for us but all the great teams go through that. Even the best team in the country. But we just have to have faith in ourselves. Believe in ourselves and trust that we got this." Whitlock says. Wednesday evening's game tips off at 6:40 in Dayton, Ohio. The winner moves on to play one-seed Florida Friday.

The Eagles are bringing back their veteran tight end. The team reportedly signed Dallas Goedert on Sunday to a one-year deal worth $7 million. The contract includes a more than $4 million signing bonus. The 31-year-old caught a career-high 60 passes last season for almost 600 yards. Goedert also set a personal best with 11 touchdown receptions.
