Dorney Park is being sued after an employee raped a then-15-year-old girl off of Dorney Park property five years ago. The lawsuit contends that Dorney Park hired Anthony Casio despite him having a previous sexual assault charge filed against him. The lawsuit says the then-22-year-old Casio pretended to be 17 when he met the girl at Dorney Park's Haunted Halloween in September 2021. Eventually the two met at an Emmaus hotel and he raped her. The lawsuit claims Dorney Park is guilty of negligent hiring practices. The amusement park says it has no comment.

A Democrat challenger to state Sen. Lisa Boscola has been booted off the primary ballot after a state court ruled her nominating petition was invalid. On her petition, Taiba Sultana listed her occupation as self-employed, which the court determined to be a material defect that had the potential to mislead electors. Sultana said the decision is based on a technicality and she will immediately appeal the ruling to the state Supreme Court. Four women challenged Sultana's petition, claiming it did not have enough valid signatures to qualify for the ballot. The court ruled they did not present enough evidence to support their claim and declared the signatures valid.

The FBI director was in Allentown Wednesday taking part in a roundtable discussion on how the federal government is dealing with the fentanyl crisis. Kash Patel said Trump administration policies are saving lives. "Luckily this year, in Pennsylvania alone, just in 2026 we've seized 100 kilograms of fentanyl. That's hundreds of thousands of lives saved," Patel said. State data shows that from 2020 to 2024, fentanyl killed around 4,000 people a year. Preliminary numbers show that in 2025, that number fell to roughly 1,500.

Governor Josh Shapiro is marking his first Passover since the arson attack at the Governor's Residence. It was the first night of Passover last year when authorities said a man climbed the fence surrounding the residence, broke a window, then threw incendiary devices while Shapiro and his family were sleeping. The governor and first lady hosted an interfaith event yesterday in the State Reception Room, the same room that was burned in the attack. Shapiro said we have to find ways to work together to stop the "seeds sowing political violence" from growing.

All Hershey and Reese's chocolate products will be made with "classic" recipes starting next year. The Hershey Company has announced plans to bring all products in line with their "classic milk and dark chocolate recipes." Hershey noted the change will only affect a "small portion of remaining" products, and the core recipes for its iconic Hershey's chocolate bars and Reese's peanut butter cups are still the same. The announcement comes after the grandson of Reese's founder H.B. Reese made a social post accusing Hershey of changing his family's formula to a "chocolate compound coating" back in February.

Marine biologists are now investigating what caused the death of a humpback whale that washed up on Sandy Hook beach Wednesday morning. Researchers at the Jersey Shore-based Marine Mammal Stranding Center said the 30-foot long whale was first spotted floating in the ocean just before eight a.m., and waves pushed it onto the beach about 30-minutes later. The nonprofit stranding center plans on removing the carcass, along with examining it. The dead whale is the second to wash up on the Jersey Shore so far this year.
