>>General Mills Issues Flour Recall For Possible Salmonella
(Golden Valley, MN) -- General Mills is issuing a recall for some of its bags of Gold Medal flour. The FDA issued the announcement, saying the possible presence of salmonella in several batches of flour prompted the voluntary recall. Specifically, the two, five, and ten-pound bags of bleached and unbleached all-purpose flour that have a "better if used by" date of March 27th or March 28th, 2024. All other types of Gold Medal flour are not affected by the recall. General Mills says salmonella was detected in a sample from a five-pound bag.
