City Announces New Date for Celebrate Lancaster Event
(Lancaster, PA) -- City officials say they have reset the date for Celebrate Lancaster to Friday, August 18th. The annual event had been cancelled due to bad weather in mid-June. The festival features live performances, food, and vendors who promoters say celebrate Lancaster's people and cultures. This year's event is created around the Swahili word 'umoja', which means spirit of the community. Celebrate Lancaster is held downtown and is sponsored this year by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.
