The audience at Germany's prestigious Goldene Kamera awards were confused when it was announced Ryan Gosling was accepting the award for "La La Land' because the person on stage was not Ryan Gosling.
Instead, a man who vaguely resembled the actor gave a bizarre speech that included dedicating the award to "Joko and Klaas." That shout out was for German comedians Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf who went to some extreme lengths to pull of the prank.
The pair created a fake talent agency and explained to the people at Goldene Kamera that Gosling would accept the award if "La La Land" won, but that he'd have to skip the red carpet and go straight backstage. That meant that the first time anyone got a good look at him would be on stage when it was was too late.
