Bear!!!

A KTLA reporter in Monrovia, California got a lot more than she expected during a live shot about a local bear attack. Reporter Erin Myers was teasing her upcoming segment during the 9 a.m. newscast when—right on cue—a black bear casually wandered into the background behind her on Oakglade Drive.

Back in the studio, anchor Megan Telles spotted it first, pointing it out as you could hear the whole newsroom gasp. The bear strolled right past a large trap set up in a driveway. Neighbors say the bear—and its cub—have actually been living underneath that house for months.

Wildlife officials were already on scene trying to keep an eye on the situation and safely trap the bear. And get this: Myers joked that this is actually the second time a bear has crashed one of her live reports.
