Pennsylvania collected $6.7 billion in General Fund revenue in April, which was $519 million, or 8.4 percent, more than anticipated, Revenue Secretary Pat Browne reported today. Fiscal year-to-date General Fund collections total $41.7 billion, which is $992.8 million, or 2.4 percent, above estimate.

It's Pennsylvania State Police Memorial Day. Governor Josh Shapiro and the Pennsylvania State Police will honor fallen troopers during a ceremony this morning at Department Headquarters in Harrisburg. Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr. will be added to the Memorial Wall at the PSP Memorial Day ceremony. Corporal O’Connor is the 105th PSP member added to the wall. The service includes a moment of silence, a rifle salute, and a reading of the names of all members who died in the line of duty. The event also marks the 121st anniversary of the PSP, the first uniformed police organization of its kind in the United States.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is now joining an antitrust lawsuit aimed at blocking the merger of two major TV station companies. California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced last week that Sunday and several other Republican attorneys general have joined a federal lawsuit blocking the merger of Tegna and Nexstar, making it a bipartisan effort. There are now 13 states represented in the lawsuit, which would stop the companies from owning 264 TV stations in the U.S. Sunday said "Rising TV service subscription costs are already stretching budgets, and this merger would only push those budgets closer to breaking."

The Trump administration says it's pulling 5000 troops out of Germany and President Trump says there are more cuts to come. Pennsylvania Republican Senator Dave McCormick says the U.S. may need to take even more action. "We've got real problems with our relationship with NATO and when the dust settles on what's going on in the Middle East, I think we're going to have a real honest conversation on what we can expect from our allies in Europe," McCormick said. He says he, like the president, is disappointed with the lack of cooperation from many NATO countries, including Germany.

President Trump says he's reviewing a new peace proposal from Iran but that he doubts he would accept it because Iran hasn't "paid a big enough price" for their actions. Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman agrees with the president. "The price for me is denying them any nuclear ambitions and also making sure they don't have the kind of missiles that can reach Europe or American assets in the region," Fetterman said. Pennsylvania's Republican senator, Dave McCormick, agrees with Fetterman and says he could support additional strikes on Iran if needed.

Game one of the Sixers/Knicks series is tonight in New York. The series will eventually shift to Philadelphia for games three and four and Sixers star Joel Embiid says they've gotta have a big home court advantage when that happens. "I just have a message for our fans. The last time we played the Knicks at home, it felt like Madison Square Garden East. We're going to need the support. Don't sell your tickets," Embiid said. Game two is Wednesday night in New York City.

It's game two tonight for the Flyers and Hurricanes. Carolina dominated game one by the final of 3-0. Flyers coach Rick Tocchet says he didn't like what he saw when reviewing game one's tape. "Just watching the video, it didn't look like a lot of guys wanted the puck. Against Carolina, you've gotta want the puck, you've gotta want confrontation, you've gotta want to make that play. Those are the things we didn't go early on," Tocchet said. Carolina is 5-0 in the playoffs and has not trailed yet in the postseason.
