PennDOT Closes Dauphin County License Centers

Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Governor Wolf's guidance, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is closing all driver license and photo license centers in Dauphin County to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.

The following Driver License Centers and Photo License Centers will be closed for two weeks effective 1 p.m. on Monday, March 16: 

  • Elizabethville Photo and Exam Center, 4686 State Route 209, Suite 5, Elizabethville
  • Riverfront Office Center, 1101 S. Front Street, Harrisburg

Driver license exams scheduled on or before March 30, 2020 at these locations are canceled. Customers may reschedule via the website upon the reopening of these locations. These locations will reopen no sooner than March 30, 2020.

As a reminder, customers may complete various transactions and access multiple resources via the Driver and Vehicle Services website, www.dmv.pa.gov. Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver's license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services.
